Unable to break into the first team squad at Ipswich, Stuart joined Third Division Barnet last September and had a memorable entrance to senior football at Underhill, scoring with a vicious drive in the very first minute of the Bees trip to Carlisle to earn his side a 1-0 victory. He went onto establish a superb partnership in midfield with John Doolan, but following Doolan's injury in December his form dipped and his appearances became less frequent.
