Green signed for Hull City on a three-and-a-half contract on the day of the Tigers first league game at the KC Stadium in December 2002 but only weeks later joined Carlisle United on loan with the view to a permanent move.
Green was made available for transfer in June 2006 before following his former Tigers manager Peter Taylor to Crystal Palace in August 2006 with a three-year contract.
He teamed-up with Taylor again in July 2009 at Wycombe Wanderers in a two-year deal.
