Whitehall managed just three brief appearances from the subs' bench for Oldham Athletic last season before joining Conference outfit Chester City on loan in September. He got off to a great start, netting two goals on his debut at Kingstonian and the transfer was made permanent a couple of weeks later. He went on to find the net regularly for the remainder of the season finishing with a respectable tally of 12 goals in 32 games. He is a strong-running striker with a good goal-scoring record throughout his career.
