This left-sided central defender had a frustrating season that saw him out of senior action until late February for although he overcame a pre-season ankle injury he was then kept out by a groin strain. When he finally returned to fitness he gave some excellent performances at the heart of Lincoln City's defence. However, at the end of the campaign Steve chose to retire from playing full-time to take up the post of Football in the Community officer at Sincil Bank.
