Torpey signed a new one-year contract with Scunthorpe United in May 2004 that was extended to June 2006 in April 2005, then to June 2007 in May 2006.
He joined Lincoln City in July 2007 with a one-year contract that was cancelled in January 2008.
NB Not be confused with his younger namesake (Stephen Torpey) who joined Port Vale from Liverpool.
