This young Wrexham midfield player was yet again affected by injuries in the 2000-01 season for he missed the early part of the campaign with a foot injury and then underwent an operation for a double hernia in January. It was not until last April that he finally returned to first team action at the Racecourse Ground when coming on from the subs' bench against Notts County. Steve is a combative figure in the centre of the park who is adept at breaking up opposition attacks. He will be hoping to avoid major injury problems in the coming season and to make the breakthrough to a regular place in the Robins' first-team squad. He made his debut for Wales Under-21s against Poland in June.
Steve was made available for transfer by Wrexham in May 2003.
