Robinson had little chance of shining for Birmingham City in 2000-01 and although he featured in a handful of first-team games, he was put up for sale.
In February, he signed for Swindon Town where he went straight in the side and kept his place for the remainder of the campaign, endearing himself to the club's fans with two expertly struck volleys to secure a 2-0 win at local rivals Oxford United.
An energetic dynamic midfielder who fully justified his nickname of 'Turbo', he also has excellent distribution.
Robinson agreed a new one-year deal with Swindon Town in July 2004.
