An underrated defender who famously dislocated his shoulder during Arsenal's celebrations of their 1993 League Cup Final win at Wembley.
39 Full Northern Ireland caps to his credit and approximately 250 club appearances. Famously dislocated his shoulder celebrating Arsenal's winner of the 1993 League Cup final.
Having recovered from the shoulder injury that had sidelined him for much of the 1999-2000 campaign, Steve started last season as a first choice in the Queens Park Rangers defence. He kept his place in the team until the end of October when he was injured but despite regaining match fitness he only featured occasionally and in March he moved to Second Division Peterborough United on loan as a replacement for Adam Drury. He appeared regularly for Posh in the closing weeks of the campaign firstly at full back, where he looked a little out of position, and later as a central defender where he appeared to be more at home. A versatile player who can also play in midfield he was released by Rangers in the summer.
