Steve Mildenhall began the 2000-01 campaign as second-choice keeper to Bart Griemink at Swindon Town and it was only after Griemink was suspended early in the New Year that he had the chance of a decent run in the side.
He seized the opportunity with both hands, keeping ten clean sheets from 24 starts and winning a local newspaper's 'Player of the Year' competition.
A tall commanding goalkeeper with a safe pair of hands, he is very effective at marshalling his defence.
Steve was made available for transfer by Notts County in July 2004.
He joined Oldham Athletic in December 2004 with a contract to the end of the season.
Steve joined Grimsby Town in July 2005 with a one-year contract.
He moved on to Yeovil Town in July 2006 in a two-year deal.
Steve joined Southend United in August 2008 with a three-year contract.
He joined Millwall in July 2010 with a one-year contract.
After a loan spell, Steve joined Bristol Rovers in July 2013 with a two-year contract.
