Foster once again proved to be one of the most consistent and reliable players for Bristol Rovers in 2000-01.
A near ever-present for the Pirates he also found time to score the winning goals at Wycombe Wanderers and Oxford United.
He is a powerful central defender who is very effective as a man-to-man marker. Foster was deservedly voted as the supporters' club's Player of the Season.
Foster extended his contract at Doncaster Rovers up to June 2006 in February 2004 but it was cancelled in January 2006.
He joined Scunthorpe United in with a contract to June 2007.
