Burton - who can operate at centre back or left back - was offered his first professional contract in April 2002 having already been selected in Hull Ciity's senior squad over a year earlier.
Following his loan spell at Ilkeston Town, the Hull-born defender returned to Boothferry Park and soon forced his way into the City first team. His efforts were rewarded with a contract extension to June 2004.
After joining Kidderminster in a short-term deal, Burton's Harriers contract was extended to June 2006 in May 2004.
