Book was again an ever-present in goal for Cheltenham Town in Third Division matches in 2000-01.
He began the campaign in fine form producing a particularly breathtaking stop in the 2-0 win at Hull City in September.
While his agility and reflexes were never in doubt, his form showed a slight dip towards the end of the season but nevertheless he was offered a new three-year contract by the Robins.
Book, who is the son of the former Northampton Town and Doncaster Rovers keeper Kim Book, joined Swindon Town in August 2004 with a one-year contract.
Already their goalkeeping coach, Book was added to Bristol Rovers' playing staff in December 2005 on a non-contract basis.
