Unable to break into the first team at Watford, Stephen joined Port Vale on loan in January 2001 and proved an instant success.
He scored in his second game for Vale in the LDV Vans Trophy tie against Notts County and very soon afterwards was signed in a permanent deal.
He went on to net a number of vital goals, notably the winner just six minutes from time in the LDV Vans Final against Brentford at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium.
Full of enthusiasm, he is a burly young striker with an excellent shot and a great eye for goal.
Stephen's contract at Bristol City was extended to June 2007 in July 2006.
After a loan spell, he joined Doncaster Rovers in January 2009 with a contract to June 2011.
