Bidstrup joined Wigan Athletic last November at the end of the Danish season making his debut from the subs' bench against Cambridge shortly afterwards and then scored on his first start in the FA Cup tie against non-league Dorchester. However he failed to win a regular place after manager Bruce Rioch departed and at the end of the campaign his contract was cancelled by mutual agreement. He subsequently returned to Denmark where he signed for AaB Aalborg. Bidstrup is a left-sided midfielder with an excellent work-rate who likes to push forward to assist the attack.
