Scored on his Liverpool debut versus Sheffield Wednesday.

Having made such an impact under Martin O'Neill, Stan's career at Leicester under Peter Taylor was extremely brief amounting to a handful of appearances, mostly from the subs' bench, and a single goal in the 2-0 victory at Chelsea. His relationship with the new boss never seemed to get on a steady footing and in October he moved on to Bradford City. He made the perfect start at Valley Parade netting with a superb overhead kick in the 1-1 draw against Leeds but after half-a-dozen games he went on the transfer list and was eventually allowed to move to Spanish club Real Oviedo on a free transfer. That too failed to work out and before the end of the season he had announce his retirement from the game. A talented footballer who on his day could be more than a match for even the best defenders he was dogged by personal problems such that he never fulfilled his potential.
