Simon Lyons

Lyons is equally at home playing as a wing back or wide midfielder on either flank and he proved to be a refreshing addition to the Torquay United squad last season. Mostly used from the subs' bench he gave a particularly precocious performance against Kidderminster in January capped by a fine late equaliser. A confident youngster with the ability to run at defenders, he was offered professional terms by the Gulls at the end of the campaign but subsequently released in March 2002.
