This imperious defender has long been a mainstay of Oldham Athletic's back line and it was no surprise therefore that he continued to be a virtual ever-present in 2000-01, regardless of what defensive system was adopted. His strength in the air remains unquestioned and he is very much a no-nonsense player who is fierce in the tackle and rarely outfought.
Shaun was put on the Oldham Athletic transfer list in October 2002.
