A newcomer to the squad he began at Olympija Ljubljana before trying his hand abroad in Israel with Kfar Saba and Belgium with Lommel. He could not settle and moved back to Slovenia to play for Mura Murska Sabota in 2000. He moved back to his first club Olympija Ljubljana for the 2001-2002 season. He made his international debut in October 2001 against the Faroe Islands as a substitute where he scored a debut goal. He is another target man but will only take part from the bench.
