Flynn featured regularly for Tranmere Rovers in 2000-01. A determined and diligent right-sided or central midfielder he provided inspirational leadership from the centre of the park, constantly encouraging his team-mates with his never-say-die approach.
Flynn originally joined Kidderminster Harriers in August 2002 on a three-month contract. His Aggborough stay was extended by a further year in May 2003 but his contract was cancelled by mutual consent in September 2003.
