Partridge suffered a pre-season injury and although he featured regularly on the subs' bench it was not until November that he reclaimed his place in the Brentford first team.
He is a skilful striker who creates plenty of chances for others but is not a prolific goalscorer himself.
His confidence reached new heights in the spring when he was paired again with Lloyd Owusu and the two once more proved very effective, their different skills complimenting each other.
Partridge finished the season by winning a runners-up medal in the LDV Vans Trophy when the Bees went down 2-1 to Port Vale in the Final at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium.
Partridge joined Shrewsbury Town on Transfer Deadline Day 2003 with a contract to the end of the season.
