Dobie had his best season to date for Carlisle United in 2000-01 and his excellent form attracted interest from higher-level clubs on a number of occasions.

He featured both on the right flank and in a more central role as a second striker alongside Ian Stevens during the campaign.

A big powerful frontman, he uses his pace and height to good effect and notched several vital goals for the Cumbrians including the winners against Leyton Orient and Macclesfield Town in March.

Dobie joined Millwall in November 2004 before teaming up with his former West Bromwich Albion boss Gary Megson at Nottingham Forest in February 2005 with a contract to June 2008.

He returned to Carlisle United in January 2008 with a contract to June 2010.
