Scot Gemmill

Date of birth02 January 1971
Place of birthPaisley
NationalityScottish
Weight73 kg
Height1.80 m
PositionMidfielder

A precise and intelligent passer of the ball, coupled with a good midfield engine, Scot enjoyed his most consistent season to date in Everton's colours in 2000-01.

It took him some time to force his way into the starting line-up, but when he did step in for the injured Paul Gascoigne he stayed there for the rest of the campaign.

A clinically incisive pass against Chelsea which created a goal out of nothing for team-mate Danny Cadamarteri showed the vision and the quality he possesses, and he also weighed in with a couple of well-struck goals - ironically home and away to Coventry City. It spoke volumes for his re-emergence at Goodison that he missed only two of Everton's last 23 games of the season.

Scot initially joined Leicester City in August 2004 with a three-month contract that was later extended to the end of the season.
