Deeney, who has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-19 level, signed a four-year contract with Notts County in August 2000.
During his loan spell at Hull City, his only apperance for the Tigers came in the second half of their opening game at the KC Stadium against Sunderland.
After originally being released at the end of the 2002-03 season, Deeney re-signed for Notts County in August 2003 on a weekly basis before agreeing a new deal in January 2004 upto June 2005.
He joined Derby County in August 2009 with a one-year contract that was extended to June 2011 in April 2010 and to June 2014 in May 2013 before it was cancelled in January 2014.
