Perrett had a desperately disappointing season at Cardiff City in 2000-01 when he was hit by a series of injuries that kept him out for virtually the whole campaign.

He eventually recovered to make two first-team appearances in April.

He is a centre back who is strong in the air and has considerable ability on the ground.

Perrett signed a new one-year contract with Luton Town in May 2006.

He joined AFC Bournemouth in July 2007 in a one-year deal.
