A dentist by profession, Ronald Brebner played his whole career as an amateur. He had two spells with Chelsea playing one match in his first spell (October - November 1906) and another seventeen after resigning from Northern Nomads (in September 1912) and being replaced by Jim Molyneux. He joined Leicester Fosse in May 1913 and his premature death was caused by a head injury suffered in a game at Lincoln City on Boxing Day 1913.
