Rowe found himself out of favour at Gillingham at the start of last season and he made his only senior appearance as a late substitute in the Worthington Cup tie at Torquay.

In January he moved on to join Third Division Hull City on an 18-month contract.

He quickly established an effective partnership with another new signing, target man Kevin Francis, and together they helped fire City into the play-offs.

Rowe scored his first goal for the Tigers in the memorable 1-0 victory over Leyton Orient -the first game after the club was plunged into administration - and with four penalties he took his tally to six to clinch the title of the Tigers' leading scorer in league matches.

He is a lively striker with good pace who is always a danger in the penalty box.
