Hulbert featured regularly in the Bristol City squad in the early part of 2000-01 but then went down with a groin problem that kept him out of action for three months, and it was not until towards the end of the campaign that he returned to the side.
A hard-tackling player who usually operates on the right-hand side of midfield.
Hulbert joined Port Vale in July 2004 with a two-year contract that was extended to December 2006 in July 2006, and to June 2008 in May 2007.
