A genuine world-class star, Roberto joined Leicester City from Lazio, where he had been player-coach under Sven Goran Eriksson, He added some much-needed experience to the Foxes' forward line and showed touches of genuine class in an all too brief stay. Indeed he might have been able to mentor Ade Akinbiyi more effectively if he had not been tempted back to his native land to take over as coach of Fiorentina in mid-February.
