Rio Ngumoha played for Chelsea during his youth career.
He was selected on Liverpool's subs bench for the first time on 18 December 2024 in a League Cup tie at Southampton.
Aged 16 years and 135 days, Rio became second youngest-ever player to appear for the Reds in a senior game when he made his debut against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup on 11 January 2025, after Jerome Sinclair versus West Bromwich Albion in the League Cup on 26 September 2012 (16 years and six days).
He signed his first pro contract in September 2025. It ran to June 2028.
