Walker enjoyed a consistent season with Cheltenham Town in 2000-01. Operating at either left back in the absence of Jamie Victory, or in the centre of defence he produced some consistent performances for the Robins. A good all-round defender with fine positional sense and heading ability he is also a useful man-marker.
Walker was released by Cheltenham Town in September 2003.
