A centre-forward of the old school - strong quite quick and good on the ball - Richard scored on his full debut for Aston Villa but found it hard to replace Dion Dublin and Julian Joachim.
Richard joined Bristol Rovers in July 2004 with a one-year contract.
His Rovers contract was extended to June 2009 in July 2007.
He joined Burton Albion in July 2009 with a two-year contract.
