This talented central midfielder was a regular for the Middlesbrough reserve side before he joined Torquay United following a successful loan spell.
In 15 first team games for the Gulls Kell scored three times, a useful return, and he will be sorely missed at Plainmoor.
Having proved his fitness after recovering from a broken leg, Richard signed a new six-month contract with Scunthorpe United in August 2003 that was subsequently extended to the end of the 2004-05 season.
Richard joined Barnsley in July 2005 a short term contract that was extended to February 2006 in December 2005.
He joined Lincoln City in December 2006 on a monthly contract.
