During the dark days of relegation and then back-to-back promotions the only constant at Maine Road was Richard Edghill, Manchester City's longest serving player.
Richard joined Wigan Athletic in October 2002 on a non-contract basis before moving on to Sheffield United on the same basis three months later.
He subsequently joined Queens Park Rangers on a monthly contract that was extended to June 2005 in July 2004.
Richard joined Bradford City in August 2005 with a five-month contract.
This was extended to June 2007 in January 2006.
