Reuben Noble-Lazarus became the youngest player ever to appear in the senior English club competitions (Premier League, Football League, FA Cup and League Cup) when he came on as a substitute for Barnsley at Ipswich Town on 30 September 2008 at the age of 15 years and 45 days.
The previous record was jointly held at 15 years and 158 days by Albert Geldard (Bradford Park Avenue v Millwall in Division Two on 16 September 1929) and Ken Roberts (Wrexham v Bradford Park Avenue in Division Three North on 1 September 1951).

After a loan spell, he joined Rochdale in January 2015 with a contract to June 2016 that was extended to June 2017 in July 2016.
