This right-sided midfield man was used in different roles by Lincoln City as the Imps underwent a number of changes in style during the 2000-01 season.
He began the campaign at right back but was moved forward to right wing back before finishing up on the right of midfield in a 4-4-2 system.
Paul was most effective pushing forward but also showed good defensive qualities as well as providing eight league and cup goals.
Paul agreed a new one-year deal with Lincoln City in June 2003 but he was forced to announce his retirement in January 2004 due to a back injury.
