Paul Holmes

Holmes began the 2000-01 campaign at right back for Torquay but eventually lost his place to Steve Tully before returning to the line-up later in the season when he took over at left back from the injured Robbie Herrera. He struggled at times to find his best form and will be hoping for a more successful time in 2001-02. An experienced performer who has good pace and kicks well with either foot, Holmes can play in either full back position, as a sweeper or in a wide midfield role.
