Having committed himself to a further four years with Sheffield United, Paul continued to be a key player in the 2000-01 campaign.
Despite being regularly marked by two opposition defenders, he still managed to create many chances with his foraging down the right-hand side but his goal tally was somewhat reduced.
Paul is a speedy right winger with tenacity and excellent ball control.
After appearing several times in 2001-02, he was loaned to Birmingham City in February 2002.
He made the move permenant in May 2002.
Paul joined Watford in September 2003 on a three-year contract which was cancelled in January 2006.
He then joined Walsall with a contract to the end of the season.
