In joining Newcastle United from Boca Juniors, Nobby became the first Peruvian to play in English football.
A skilful right-sided player either as a wing-back or orthodox winger, he soon became an influential performer.
After leaving for Aston Villa in January 2004, he was welcomed back to Tyneside in August 2005 with a two-year contract that was extended to June 2008 in June 2007.
He joined Leicester City in January 2010 with a contract to June 2010.
Nolberto joined Hull City in August 2010 with a one-year contract.
