A promising young midfielder, Nicolas made his name at the 2000 Sydney Olympics where he featured in all six games for the Indomitable Lions as they went on to win the final against Spain. He is also a regular member of the full national squad, appearing in eight of the qualifying games for Japan and South Korea. He moved to Rizespor in Turkey from Cotton Garoua Sport a month after the Olympics and has since been a regular in their middle line. Nicolas, who is very tall, can look awkward at times but he is extremely tenacious and is reported to have attracted interest from Real Madrid.
