Out of favour at Dundee Nicky joined Scunthorpe on loan in November 2000. Unfortunately his Iron career lasted just two minutes as he tore his groin shortly after coming on as a substitute against Hartlepool. The injury required surgery and he was out of action for some time. Nicky is a wide midfield player or striker who has good pace and an eye for goal. He started the 2001-02 season with a three month contract at Plymouth Argyle. Nicky stayed in Devon to finish the campaign at Torquay.
Nicky joined Woking in August 2002 on a one-year contract.
