Young featured regularly for AFC Bournemouth at the beginning of the 2000-01 campaign but then suffered a serious knee injury at the end of September that required surgery and a long period of rehabilitation.
A dependable right back who likes to get forward and put crosses in.
He is the older brother of Luke Young.
Young signed a new one-year contract in May 2005 that was extended to June 2007 in June 2006 and to June 2008 in July 2007.
