Barnet agreed to his transfer request in April 2008 before his contract was extended to June 2009 in May 2008.
Neal's contract at Notts County was extended to June 2012 in July 2010, to June 2013 in May 2011 and to June 2014 in January 2013 before it was cancelled in June 2013.
He joined Blackpool in August 2013 with a contract to January 2014 that was extended to June 2014 in December 2013.
Neal joined Scunthorpe United in July 2014 with a two-year contract that was extended to June 2017 in April 2016 and to June 2018 in May 2017.
