| Date of birth | 28 May 1973 |
| Place of birth | Rhondda |
| Nationality | Welsh |
| Weight | 69 kg |
| Height | 1.70 m |

Out of contract at Southend United, Nathan Jones joined Brighton & Hove Albion in the 2000 close season and appeared mostly in a wide left-midfield role for the Seagulls in 2000-01.
He quickly became a crowd favourite with his entertaining style and elaborate shimmies and shuffles, which in turn earned him his own 'soccer skills' feature on the Sky Sports programme 'Soccer AM'.
A high point was scoring twice in the 6-2 home victory over Torquay United, a result that heralded a transformation of the Seagulls' fortunes after a shaky start and which paved the way for their ultimately successful Third Division championship campaign.
