Signed from Schalke 04 shortly after his 17th birthday, Moritz developed in to a pacy, powerful right-back but moved to Fulham in search of regular first team football.
A former captain of Germany Under-15s, Moritz has been a key figure for the Arsenal youth team in recent seasons, appearing in their FA Youth Cup winning teams in both 1999-2000 and 2000-01 when he scored in the first leg of the Final against Blackburn Rovers.
A powerful, pacy right back who was highly rated at Highbury, he made his first-team debut in the Worthington Cup defeat against Ipswich Town in November.
After a loan spell, Moritz joined Fulham in January 2004 with a contract to June 2007 that was extended to June 2009 in December 2006.
