NationalityEnglish
Weight74 kg

PositionMidfielder

Having signed from Everton during the close season, Mitch took some time to win over the Barnsley fans, mostly due to a previous association with local rivals Sheffield United. However he featured regularly in the side throughout the campaign, despite suffering from a recurring ankle problem which kept him out from time to time. He received a boost when new boss Nigel Spackman took over early in the new year and along with the rest of the team his performances showed much improvement. Used mostly as a midfield ball winner at Oakwell he can also play equally well on either flank or at full back.

Mitch joined York City in July 2003 on a one-year contract that was cancelled by mutual consent in April.
