A regular for Swansea City in 2000-01 apart from the occasional absence due to suspension, Mike remained a very much under-rated defender.
Versatile enough to play either as a left back or on the left-hand side of midfield when a three-man back-line was employed, he is sound defensively and effective when pushing up the flank.
Mike agreed a new one-year deal with Swansea City in June 2003.
