Grella, who previously played in USA college soccer for Duke Blue Devils, joined Leeds United in February 2009 with a contract to June 2010.
It was extended to June 2012 in August 2009 before he was made available for transfer in May 2011.
Grella joined Bury in February 2012 with a contract to June 2012.
He joined Scunthorpe United in July 2012 with a two-year contract that was cancelled in June 2013.
