Menetrier joined Bournemouth in August 2000 from Metz where he had been third-choice 'keeper in the 1999-2000 campaign when he was restricted to appearances in the reserve team. He began last season as first-choice 'keeper for the Cherries but lost his place in September and apart from a couple of outings in the LDV Vans Trophy ties his only other senior games came when his rival Gareth Stewart was out injured in the new year.
