Galloway found opportunities at Chesterfield restricted last season and moved on loan to Carlisle in November, the deal becoming permanent two months later. A hardworking midfielder, his arrival helped spark a revival in the Cumbrians' fortunes and he set up some vital goals with his wickedly accurate corner kicks including both strikes in the 2-1 win over Mansfield in January. He is a midfield grafter who passes the ball neatly and is a fine striker of a dead ball with either foot.
Galloway's contract at Carlisle United was cancelled by mutual consent in December 2002.
