A Congo international, having previously played for KRC Harelbeks, Michel joined Watford from Samsunspor in Turkey. In December 2000, he moved on to Queens Park Rangers where he went straight into the first team but was unable to hold down a regular place and was frequently used from the bench. He scored just three goals in his time at Loftus Road, including a penalty against his former colleagues Watford, and failed to make the starting line-up in the last two months of the campaign. Michel is a powerfully built striker with a deceptive turn of pace, but was released by Rangers in the summer and joined Kilmarnock.
